This handcrafted gemstone necklace is made of 6mm turquoise magnesite beads and a variety of pewter accents. It measures approximately 17 inches long. The pendant is a turquoise magnesite oval between pewter bead caps and measures approximately 35mm or 1.38 inches long by 25mm or 0.98 inches wide. The pewter ball drop measures approximately 11mm or 0.43 inches. The focal point dangles approximately 2.5 inches long.
In nature, magnesite is usually white. This stone is often dyed a variety of colors, and it is especially dyed to simulate turquoise. Though it is not as expensive as turquoise, magnesite has its own place in jewelry. This stone is said to be calming and balancing. It allows us to accept others and ourselves more readily. It is even said to strengthen teeth and bones, and to ease the symptoms of PMS.
