Description
This handcrafted hematite necklace measures approximately 18.5 inches long. It is made of a variety of hematite beads including 8mm and 10mm faceted rounds, 10mm six-sided twisted rounds, 6mm smooth rounds, and a 10mm four-sided twisted bead in the center. The pewter accents are domed beaded cylinders, with smooth pewter cones by the toggle clasp.
Hematite is said to be a calming and grounding stone. It keeps us focused on the present and provides mental clarity. Please note that Much of the hematite on the market today is synthetic, and it is very difficult to know the difference between natural and synthetic hematite. Although a synthetic stone does not hold the spiritual properties of a natural one, the main ingredient of hematite, whether it is natural or made in a lab, is iron oxide.
The metal in this piece is made of a zinc rich pewter. Normally, pewter has greater than 90% tin, but much of the pewter sold today has higher zinc content.
